What's inside

Everything a chamber juggles, together in one place

No more paper diary, scattered WhatsApp threads and spreadsheets. Each case carries its own dates, fees, notes and documents.

Hearings & next dates

Record what happened on each date and set the next one in seconds. The case's next hearing updates itself, and "Due today" is always one tap away.

Fee tracking per case

Log fees charged and payments received against a case. See billed, collected and pending at a glance, and tap through to every transaction.

Clients

Keep every client's contact details in one list and link cases to them, so you never hunt for a phone number before a hearing.

Documents with the case

Attach orders, notices and petitions to the case they belong to. Anyone with access to the case can open them.

Remarks & to-dos

Leave yourself a note on what must be done in a case, tick it off when finished, or assign it to a junior in your chamber.

Urgent flags & filters

Mark cases urgent. Filter by today, urgent, status or court, and search by title, number or court name.

Chambers & teams

Add associates and clerks to your chamber. Belong to more than one chamber? Switch between them without signing out.

Share a case

Send a link to a colleague outside your chamber. They accept it, and only then see that one case — view-only or with edit access.

Case timeline

Hearings, fee entries and remarks on one chronological timeline, so the full story of a case is a single scroll.

Fees

Know what's billed, what's collected, and what's still due

Add a fee against a hearing date; add a payment when it arrives. The Case Diary keeps the running total, so the question "how much is pending on this case?" has an instant answer — and so does "across all my cases?"

  • Charges and payments kept separate, so part-payments are handled naturally
  • Billed / collected / pending shown on every case
  • Total pending fees across your chamber on the Today screen
Sharing

Hand a case to a colleague — without handing over your chamber

Need a senior's view, or someone to appear on your behalf? Generate a link for just that case and send it on WhatsApp. It stays private until the person signs in and accepts.

  • Share one case, not your whole diary
  • Choose view-only or can-edit access
  • Optionally lock the link to one mobile number
Teams

Built for chambers, not just single desks

Bring your associates and clerks into one chamber. Assign a remark to a junior so "who's doing the rejoinder?" is never a question. If you work with more than one chamber, switch between them in a tap.

  • Owner, associate and clerk roles
  • One account, many chambers
  • ₹99 per extra user per month — nothing else to buy
How it works

From sign-up to your first hearing in minutes

No installation and no setup call. Open it in your browser.

Create your chamber

Enter your name, your chamber's name and your mobile number. We send a six-digit code by SMS or WhatsApp to confirm it's really you — then you're in. Email is optional, for receipts and alerts.

Add cases and dates

Add a case with its number, court and client. After each hearing, note what happened and set the next date.

Bring in your people

Add juniors and clerks to your chamber, assign remarks, or share a single case with a colleague outside it.

What's coming

We're just getting started

Here's what we're working toward. None of it is live yet, and the order may change as advocates tell us what matters most.

eCourts sync

Pull case status and cause lists automatically, so next dates update without typing.

Planned

WhatsApp & SMS reminders

Hearing reminders to you and your clients. Message costs will be billed separately, at usage.

In progress

Let clients see the status of their own case without calling your office.

Planned

E-signature

Exploring

AI drafting & summaries

First drafts and plain-language summaries of long orders, with you in control.

Want something specific? Tell us — it genuinely shapes the list.

Security & privacy

Your clients' matters stay your clients' matters

Advocates hold confidences. The Case Diary is built so that a case is visible only to the people who should see it — and to no one else.

Encrypted connections

Everything between your device and The Case Diary travels over HTTPS.

Verified sign-in

Your mobile number is confirmed with an OTP sent by SMS or WhatsApp. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text.

Chambers kept separate

Each chamber's cases, clients and documents are walled off from every other chamber.

Sharing is always explicit

Nothing leaves your chamber unless you generate a link, and the recipient must accept it first.

No ads, no trackers in the app

The Case Diary is paid for by its subscribers — not by advertisers watching your diary.

Pricing

Simple pricing. One price per person.

Start free and stay free as a solo advocate. Pay only when your chamber grows.

Questions

Straight answers

Is The Case Diary really free?
Yes. The free plan is for one advocate, with up to 10 active cases and 2 documents per case, and it never expires. Close or dispose of a case and its slot frees up for a new one.
Can my junior or clerk use it too?
Yes. Add teammates to your chamber as associates or clerks. Each additional user is ₹99 per month, or ₹999 per year. The free plan is for a single user.
Can I share a case with someone outside my chamber?
Yes. Generate a link for one case and send it on WhatsApp or anywhere else. The person signs in to The Case Diary (or creates a free account) and accepts it — only then can they open that case, as view-only or with edit access, as you choose.
Does The Case Diary connect to eCourts?
Not yet. Automatic case-status and cause-list sync is on our roadmap. Today you add cases and dates yourself — which takes seconds per hearing.
Is there a mobile app?
The web app works in your phone's browser today. Native Android and iOS apps are in the works — we'll announce them here.
Does it work offline?
Not yet — you need an internet connection. Offline access is something we'd like to add.
How is my data protected?
Connections are encrypted, passwords are stored hashed, sign-in is verified with a one-time code on your mobile, and every chamber's data is kept separate. A case is visible only to your chamber's members and to people you explicitly share it with. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I pay for the paid plan?
Online checkout is still being built. For now, email us and we'll set up your chamber's upgrade by hand.
